Richard Fenwick

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web. I’m Richard Fenwick (Rick), an American poet and author with poetry published in various quarterlies and journals in the United States, Canada and across the UK. My first collection of poetry, Around the Sun Without a Sail, was published in 2012; a second collected — The Weight of Lilies — is scheduled for publication in late 2016.

I work as a translator with Russian-speaking Holocaust survivors from the former-Soviet Union, translating their histories for publication. In 2015, my translations of their histories were published in the book To Tell Our Stories: Holocaust Survivors of Southern Arizona.

During the Cold War I flew as a Russian linguist on various Air Force strategic reconnaissance aircraft, to include the RC-135 V/W and S-Models, and various specially-configured C-130 aircraft. During those years I was fortunate to visit or live for extended periods of time in Russia, Japan, England, Iceland, Alaska, Korea, the Philippines, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
